NIOSH-Approved Spirometry Training

Medical professional with mask holding lung function testing device

Course Information:
This NIOSH-approved spirometry training course (approval #010) deals with all aspects of spirometry testing. One special aspect of this course is the high quality of individual instruction consisting of three (3) days. All lectures are given by Dr. Roy McKay, who has taught this course for nearly three (3) decades. This course uses a combination of lectures and hands-on practice to learn spirometry testing. Technique and problem solving sessions will be conducted using small groups with no more than five (5) students per instructor. Because a small class size is important to ensure proper training of the student, the class size is limited.

Our three day program is designed for individuals who desire more information than a 2 day program. The additional day allows more time using the spirometer to improve the student's testing technique. The third day also gives the student an additional evening to prepare for the final exam. A certificate is awarded to all students who successfully pass the final examination.

Course Fee: $775
