Understanding the BS/MD Connections Program: UC College of Medicine Webinar

Prospective Connections applicants are invited to join Gina Deckard, MS, Director of Medical Student Admissions and Special Programs, for an informative, live webinar in which she will share insights into the Connections program at the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Deckard will also discuss best practices, common pitfalls, and what to avoid in the application process.  Attendees can expect to learn how to be an outstanding applicant, without ‘standing out’.

This webinar is free of charge and open to everyone who is interested in applying for the 2026-2027 admissions cycle. Parents and school counselors are welcome to join in support of applicants. Upon registration, you may submit a question for Ms. Deckard. Please note that due to time restrictions, Ms. Deckard may not be able to address all submitted questions.

The Connections Dual Admissions Program, a BS/MD program, allows high school seniors to apply and be accepted to the University of Cincinnati undergraduate college and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine simultaneously.

The program attracts mature and intellectually curious students who are focused on service. The program is designed for students interested in health disparities, from a community engagement perspective, who are serious about a career in medicine.
