Therapeutic Chair Yoga for Mobility & Balance
Therapeutic Chair Yoga for Mobility & Balance is a supportive, adaptive class designed with chronic conditions and neurological health needs in mind—and open to all. This class offers a gentle, chair-based approach to movement that supports strength, balance, flexibility, and mental ease in a safe and accessible environment.
Each session includes guided, yoga-based movements, breath awareness, and opportunities for rest—all performed primarily while seated or with the support of a chair. The practice is intentionally paced and adaptable, helping participants improve posture, coordination, concentration, and relaxation while honoring individual comfort and ability.
Through regular participation, Therapeutic Chair Yoga for Mobility & Balance may support:
InstructorLed by Sonya Verma, MHSA, MBI, Sound Therapist and E-RYT 1000 Yoga Therapist. Sonya brings extensive experience in trauma-informed, therapeutic movement and a compassionate, inclusive approach to care.
Who This Class Is ForThis class is open to adults seeking a gentle, supportive movement practice, including those living with chronic conditions, neurological health concerns, or limited mobility. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Modifications and options are always offered to support comfort, safety, and accessibility.
Cost: $5 per virtual class ($22 per 5-class pack discounts class to $4.40 per class)
Class Location: Virtual via Zoom (link emailed the day before class)
What You Need: you will need a computer, phone, or tablet with internet access to join the virtual class and a sturdy chair.
