College of Medicine, Global Health Student Groups

Global Health Interest Group

The Global Health Interest Group is a student-led organization at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. This group aims to cultivate interest in global health, inform students of global health opportunities, and aid in preparing those students for their experiences abroad.

Initiative on Poverty, Justice, and Health

This club seeks to involve students who want to make a positive difference during their careers by improving health and healthcare for the underserved– either here in the US or overseas. IPJH is focused on the knowledge and skills related to the connection of poverty, justice, and health. It helps support and foster student interest in improving the health of poor and vulnerable populations.

Student-Run Free Clinic

The Student-Run Free Clinic Cincinnati is an initiative started in May 2016 by medical students to partner with faculty, students, patients, and community members to provide quality, dignifying, and empowering primary care to the populations in Cincinnati. Our vision is to provide interdisciplinary longitudinal primary-care in a culturally appropriate context. Our clinic will be once a week on Saturday Mornings at the Healing Center. Contact SRFCCincinnati@gmail.com to learn more or get involved.
