Within the Young Women’s Center for Reproductive Health and Development, we focus on the developing female reproductive system, recognizing that some gynecologic conditions encountered in the pediatric and adolescent population may require more specialized care.
We provide consultation for local, regional and even international patients, offering our expertise in medical and surgical management of pediatric and adolescent reproductive health concerns.
In addition, the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology interacts collaboratively with multiple other disciplines throughout the medical center. Our team of specialists is nationally recognized for experience in complex pelvic reconstructive surgery and multidisciplinary medical care.
Our clinical areas of expertise include:
A pediatric and adolescent gynecologist is an obstetrician-gynecologist who has devoted his or her career to the care of children and adolescents. He or she has completed a residency in an approved Obstetrics and Gynecology program and has completed a formal fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology or has significant experience in caring for a pediatric and adolescent population.
Our faculty consists of three fellowship-trained pediatric and adolescent gynecologists. Such training provides experience and knowledge in conditions and treatment unique to children.
