Director of Core D “Behavior and Cognitive Core”: Ulrich-Lai

The UC MMPC provides metabolic phenotyping services to NIH- and company-supported investigators with transgenic mice that have diabetes-related phenotypes. More specifically, Core D (Behavior and Cognitive Core) provides sophisticated state-of-the-art behavioral assays, radioimmunoassays, and radiotelemetry methods that allow investigators to better characterize mouse models of metabolic disorders.

“Behavioral assay development to assess preference for exercise relative to palatable food”

The major goal of this innovative pilot grant is to develop and validate a new behavioral assay in mice to measure preference for voluntary exercise versus palatable food.
