By prioritizing well-being, we aim to cultivate a culture of safety, support, and resilience essential for the professional and personal growth of all participants.

Personify Health supports daily wellness
Employees can access counseling, coaching, and consulting services from licensed, Masters-level Clinical Counselors and Social Workers in a confidential setting at no cost for eight visits per issue. This benefit is funded by UC Health. These services includes assessment, short-term counseling, coaching, and referral services. Employee’s household members over 18 years may also utilize the UC Health EAP services at no cost for eight visits per issue.
The Graduate Medical Education (GME) team is committed to introducing well-being support early in training by providing appointments with the UC Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP) during the first year of training.
After hours, mental health support is available from Psychiatric Emergency Services (513) 584-8577. Residents and fellows are also provided with resources such as the 988 Crisis Lifeline and the National Physician Support Line.
Residents and fellows can access the OSMA Well-Being CARE service, which offers a free, and anonymous checkup of mental and emotional health offered by the Ohio State Medical Association.
The UC Osher Center for Integrative Health provides programs, educational resources, and workshops that are designed to support the wellness and resiliency of residents, fellows, faculty, and staff, including discounts for massages.
A dedicated counselor for GME will be embedded within UC Health’s Employee Wellness Office to provide support services, education, and outreach specifically for residents and fellows.
The UC Medical Center GME supports fatigue mitigation by offering Uber/Lyft services for those in need of transportation.
In addition to Psychiatric Emergency Services, the OSMA CARE Service, and the UC Osher Center for Integrative Health resources, additional resources and services are available to support faculty through the UC Bearcats Landing intranet site.
Be Well UC provides events and sessions, health coaching, an online portal, and mental health resources, among others. All UC employees are welcome to participate in programming, coaching, and challenges. Those employees enrolled in a UC Anthem medical plan are eligible to earn financial incentives through online tracking of well-being activities.
The UC Emergency Guide, which can be accessed through UC’s Bearcats Landing intranet site, provides contact information and resources for emergency and critical non-emergency situations at the University of Cincinnati.
This resource includes a guide for supporting individuals in distress along with the link to the Emergency Guide. This reference is intended to be shared and can be referenced in the event of a difficult situation with an individual in distress.
AllOne Health (formerly Impact Solutions) is UC's employee assistance plan provider, which offers a variety of support to all UC benefits-eligible employees and their household members, dependents living away from home, both parents and in-laws.
