On August 1, 2025, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine celebrated the 30th annual White Coat Ceremony at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, officially welcoming 175 new medical students, including 12 MSTP students, into the profession. The ceremony marked a symbolic transformation as students put on their white coats for the first time, surrounded by faculty, family, and friends.

This year’s keynote address was delivered by Dr. Bi A. Awosika, assistant dean for admissions and recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. Dr. Awosika reminded students, “You have arrived.” Her speech emphasized resilience, servant leadership, and the healing power of human connection. She encouraged students to embrace adversity, build a strong support network, and recognize their intrinsic worth as future physician-scientists.
