MSTP G3 student Griffin McDaniel was one of six College of Medicine students to be awarded the 2025 Albert J. Ryan Fellowship. The Fellowship recognizes students who excel in research and doctoral training, and is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon graduate students at the UC College of Medicine while they are in their graduate training.

Griffin is a student in the Development, Stem Cells, and Regenerative Medicine program, working in the lab of Dr. Timothy Le Cras, PhD. He was recognized at the award ceremony held in August, and has been invited to present his research at the Ryan Fellow Symposium in May 2026.
