We strive to impact global health through our unwavering commitment to research, education, and training in cancer control. Our initiatives are designed to empower communities worldwide, fostering a profound understanding of cancer prevention and care.
Global estimates predict that one in five people will develop cancer in their lifetime. Gynecologic cancers, including cervical, ovarian, uterine/endometrial, vulvar, and vaginal cancers, account for 16% of cancer diagnoses, with developing nations disproportionately impacted.
Southern Africa is disproportionately impacted by cervical cancer due to limited education around prevention, late disease detection, and shortages in clinical care. Zambia holds the third highest cervical cancer burden, globally, and is the leading cancer diagnosis among women ages 15-44.
At the Pinder research lab, our work tackles gynecological cancer care across the continuum in an effort to reduce preventable deaths. Please continue reading through the site for more information.
Together, we can empower communities and provide accessible cancer care for everyone.
