Our annual retreat was at the Newport Aquarium in 2025. Our students had the opportunity to mix and mingle with the penguins, sharks, and rays while visiting the aquarium, ahead of the retreat events.  At the retreat, we enjoyed an interesting panel discussion on career prospects for PhDs and fascinating insights into new research going on in our community. We also continued the tradition of student awards.  Congratulations to Fady Eid (Leadership), Kassidy Grover (Most Likely to Drop Everything and Help You With Your Science), Lilian Jerow (Service to the NGP), Kat Propsom (Mentorship), Meranda Quijas (Leadership, Most Likely to Win the Nobel Prize), and Molly Winer (Service to the NGP) on your well deserved awards!
