Independent Student Analysis (ISA)

The Independent Student Analysis (ISA) is a vital part of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation process and the medical school’s commitment to continuous quality improvement. The ISA is a student-led survey designed to capture comprehensive feedback on the medical education program, institutional resources, and the overall learning environment from the student body.

A student workgroup will be formed to lead this process, ensuring broad and inclusive representation. The workgroup is responsible for designing and distributing the survey, driving participation, analyzing results, and preparing a summary report of findings. The ISA report is shared with the LCME only during the Self-Study phase as part of the accreditation review.

The ISA process, which will occur in the Fall of Academic Year 2026-2027, ensures that the ISA authentically reflects student feedback and serves as a powerful tool for driving institutional enhancements and maintaining excellence in medical education.
