University Health Services (UHS) at UC provides students with comprehensive primary care needs. Our team includes physicians and advanced practice providers, counseling and psychiatry providers, specialty clinicians, registered nurses, medical assistants, laboratory and x-ray imaging staff, and the UHS pharmacy.

UHS can provide primary care services for students while they are enrolled in a course of study at UC. If you already have a primary care doctor, we can work along with them to assist with continuity and provide urgent and long-term care for most conditions. We can also facilitate referrals to a full range of medical and surgical specialists.
UHS treats acute illnesses including, but not limited to:
UHS can help with ongoing management of chronic conditions and help facilitate treatment plans and referrals to specialists for more complicated situations. These conditions may include, but are not limited to:
UHS provides professional, confidential mental health services for UC students. UHS has primary care providers along with psychiatrists and therapists who can provide comprehensive long-term mental health care for most common conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other chronic mental health conditions. We work closely with CAPS and other community partners to coordinate care.
Mental health emergencies are handled by CAPS or local ERs.
UHS provides comprehensive women’s health including: well-woman exams, Pap exams, STI testing, contraceptive management (including LARCs and IUDs), and care for routine gynecological problems.
UHS provides a full range of STI testing, counseling and prescription of HIV PrEP, and care for a range of additional sexual health concerns.
UHS provides comprehensive preventative care including annual physicals, screening labs, age-appropriate screening, and other medically-recommended preventative services.
UHS can provide a full range of vaccines for compliance with UC enrollment requirements as well as additional disease prevention.
UHS provides comprehensive travel counseling and advice, and can provide most required travel vaccines and prescriptions (with the exception of Yellow Fever).
UHS has in-house x-ray capability to assist with diagnosis of routine injuries and illnesses.
UHS has in-house lab services to assist students with testing ordered either by UHS providers or by providers outside our system.
UHS Mental Health provides professional, confidential mental health services for UC students. We work actively with our clinical and campus partners to ensure that we are address your needs from a holistic perspective, treating “the whole you.”
