The Osher Center for Integrative Health Community & Academic Advisory Councils plays a vital role in advancing our mission to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities, locally and globally. As an independent body of respected community and academic leaders, the councils embody the spirit of collaboration and innovation at the heart of integrative medicine, bringing diverse expertise from healthcare, academia, industry, government, and the private sector—bridging the Center’s work with the broader community. Through their insight, advocacy, and partnership, they help shape programs that are relevant, accessible, and responsive to community needs
The Advisory Council’s leadership and generosity have been instrumental in the Center’s growth and success. In recognition of their extraordinary commitment, the founding members of the Community Advisory Council received the Group Philanthropy Award at the University of Cincinnati Foundation’s Outstanding Philanthropic Volunteer Awards in 2022, reflecting their deep dedication to advancing integrative health and fostering a culture of wellness across the region.
By fostering meaningful connections between the Osher Center and the community it serves, the Advisory Council strengthens our ability to translate evidence-based integrative health practices into real-world impact. Their guidance ensures that our research, education, and clinical initiatives reflect the values of inclusivity, equity, and whole-person wellness—building a foundation for a healthier, more resilient future for all.
