Through guided art-making experiences, participants will explore a variety of materials and techniques that encourage self-reflection, stress reduction, and inner strength.
No prior art experience is necessary, just a willingness to engage in the process. Each session offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to connect with others, express feelings visually, and build coping skills through creative exploration.

This class offers a supportive, adaptive space for individuals living with chronic health conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, and more. This group uses creative expression as a therapeutic tool to support emotional well-being, stress reduction, and meaningful connection.
Each session includes guided art-making experiences designed to accommodate a range of physical abilities while encouraging self-reflection, relaxation, and personal expression. The focus is on the creative process rather than artistic outcome, with flexibility, comfort, and choice prioritized throughout.

No prior art experience is necessary; participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace and comfort level.
Art therapy is guided by Meera Rastogi, PhD, LPAT, ATR-BC, Licensed Psychologist and Board-Certified Art Therapist, and UC student assistants.
The Art Therapy Program is a collaboration with the University of Cincinnati’s Pre-Art Therapy program, the Waddell Center for Multiple Sclerosis, UC James J. and Joan A. Gardner Family Center for Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders, Osher Center for Integrative Health, University of Cincinnati, and UC Clermont. Please review the options and criteria listed below, and when selecting your account type under Affiliation, choose the option that best describes your situation. Community Care Rate: $5/Class, $22/5-Class Pack
Sustainer Rate: $10/Class, $45/5-Class Pack

Class credits will be refunded for any cancellation made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled class. Class credits will be forfeited if cancelled less than 24 hours prior.
If you are registered for a no-cost class and can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to allow space for another registrant.

UC Health associates are eligible for up to 200 THRIVE points per month for attending Integrative Medicine classes/events. How to redeem points in the THRIVE app: click on “Rewards.” Scroll down to “Integrative Medicine.” Fill in all required fields and upload proof (registration confirmation, etc.) then click “submit.”
Eligible faculty and staff can earn 1,000+ Be Well UC points in the Personify Health portal with UC’s employee wellness program for attending offerings with the Osher Center for Integrative Health, and earn up to $300 every calendar year. Get started by creating an account or logging in, click the “Home” icon near the top, then, click “Rewards”. Scroll (or search) to the “Participation” category. Click “Attend a UC sponsored event”. Fill out a brief form and submit!
