About the MPH Alumni-Student Mentorship Program
The MPH Alumni-Student Mentorship Program allows alumni of the UC MPH program the invaluable opportunity to support a current MPH student to reach their academic and professional goals. Alumni mentors meet with students a minimum of once a month to engage in meaningful conversations. Mentors can provide academic and career advice and guidance on becoming a public health professional. In addition, students and mentors can work on projects together and mentors can aid students in networking opportunities.
While our students have a passion for public health, they are often unaware of all the possibilities in the field. Mentors can provide students an opportunity to explore different sectors of public health that may ultimately change the trajectory of their future public health career. A mentor’s involvement in cultivating a student’s academic and professional goals can have a sincere impact that helps foster future public health leaders
